Communities

Kids Voting New Hampshire’s (NH) success depends on support from community partners and organizations by volunteering their time and financial support.  Kids Voting NH started as a pilot program in the city of Manchester and was first implemented in the 1996 New Hampshire presidential primary in five schools on the city's west side.  The program quickly grew to a statewide program with 26 participating communities at its peak.  Kids Voting NH merged with the New Hampshire Political Library in 2007 and is again flourishing across the state.  The following cities and towns had volunteer support on Election Day 2008: Bedford, Bow, Chichester, Concord (limited wards), Hanover, Hillsborough, Hopkinton, Londonderry, Manchester, Pembroke, and Weare.

A wide variety of community partners including businesses, colleges, community organizations, and student groups volunteer on Election Day to staff the Kids Voting polling sites and tally the results in their individual communities.  Kids Voting NH has also received considerable financial support from local businesses, individuals, grants, and foundations to help support our efforts to provide all Kids Voting materials and special event opportunities free of cost to local schools, families, and students.

Kids Voting New Hampshire has received generous support for 2009 programming from:

McLane, Graf, Raulerson and Middleton, P.A.

And underwriting support from:
